Life with two kiddos is no joke! It has been such a blessing to watch Paul love on Ruth and to figure out what life looks like as a family of four. Caleb was able to be home for a month from school after Ruth was born with his two-week paternity leave and Faith Academy's March/Easter Break. This was a huge gift to me as I recovered from surgery, survived on minimal sleep, and navigated the joys (and struggles) of breastfeeding. It also provided Caleb more time to recover from his surgery. We are happy to share that he is done with all of his follow-up appointments and is in the ongoing process of regaining full mobility of his fingers.

We have been so blessed by our friends, family, and community here in the Philippines! We attended church the week after Ruth was born and were overwhelmed with the love and support we received from everyone. Last week, we had both Paul and Ruth dedicated to the Lord at our church and Ruth was prayed over at Faith's staff meeting by one of our friends on staff. It's incredibly comforting knowing that we have a community around us - both near and far - that are praying for our kiddos and cheering us on!

I have also been blessed returning to interpreting and serving our Deaf community at church again. They are such a warm, welcoming group and I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to get to know them, their language, and their culture. I just started a FSL (Filipino Sign Language) course through a local college that will help me grow in my signs and understanding of the culture. This past weekend I was able to serve at Favor Conference, interpreting songs each day to help lead the Deaf into worship before the sessions. Whenever I was "up" to interpret, I had a handful of friends wanting to watch Ruth for me, one of whom is pictured below.

We had our appointment at the U.S. Embassy to get Ruth's passport last week and are now just awaiting its delivery. We have tickets to fly back to the States on June 11, but may have to reschedule if her passport is not here by then. Please join us in praying that we receive all the documents soon, with time to plan for our flight. We are looking forward to our time in the States, where we will be able to have time as a family, spend time with family and friends, enjoy the seasons, and so much more! In regards to our fundraising goals, we are at 88% of our monthly support needs and 48% of our one-time support.
